Time Coach Rails 6 App Part 1

In this series, I will be walking you through the creation of a productivity app called "Time Coach". The purpose of this app is to help with meetings, or activities where participants often get side tracked or go over time, so the user will be able to map out the time intervals for the sub activities of a meeting or activity session and the app will display the progress of the meeting and give a sound alarm for each transition to a new sub activity. This will hopefully help participants visualize time constraints and the auditory cues will keep the activity progressing.

This series will model TDD (Test Driven Development) as a general philosophy while writing the software. Let's get started by making a new Tello board called "Time Coach". Let's create some new lists to track progress during the development.

  • Backlog
  • Todo
  • In Progress
  • Developed
  • Testing
  • Release

Now let's add an ordered list of new cards in backlog.

You can add checklists to a card i.e.

So the Trello board could look like this:

For this first sprint, I am going to add these cards onto the todo list, and move the first one over to the in progress list.
